Exclusive Interview: Tomislav Horvat on Leadership and Team Goals

We sat down with team captain Tomislav Horvat to discuss his leadership role, the team's progress this season, and what lies ahead for KK Cibona Zagreb.

Q: Tomislav, you've been named team captain this season. What does that responsibility mean to you?

Horvat: "It's an incredible honor. Cibona has such a rich history and tradition, so to be chosen as captain is something I take very seriously. My role is to lead by example both on and off the court, to help bring the team together, and to represent what Cibona stands for."

Q: How would you describe the team's chemistry this season?

Horvat: "The chemistry is really good. We have a mix of experienced players and younger guys, and everyone is buying into the system. We're building something special here, and you can see it in how we play together. The communication on the court has been excellent."

Q: What are the team's main goals for this season?

Horvat: "Our primary goal is to compete for championships. We want to win the domestic league and make a strong run in European competitions. But more than that, we want to play the right way - with intensity, togetherness, and respect for the game. If we do that, the results will follow."

Q: How important is the support from the fans?

Horvat: "The fans are everything. When Dom Sportova is packed and the crowd is behind us, it gives us incredible energy. We play for them, and we want to make them proud. I encourage all Cibona fans to come out and support us - we need that 12th man!"

Q: What message do you have for the Cibona faithful?

Horvat: "Thank you for your continued support. We're working hard every day to bring success to this club. Stay with us, believe in us, and together we can achieve great things. This is your team, and we're going to fight for you every single game."
